DAVID DECKER - LEAD PASTOR
David Decker is the founding and lead pastor of Three Strands Church in Whitley City, Kentucky. Three Strands is an authentic community of Christ-followers that David and his wife, Stephanie, planted in 2012. Since that time, Three Strands has grown into a place of safety for people who have been wounded by life, disenfranchised with church, or uncertain about their direction.
As a pastor, David is passionate about helping people who are struggling with addiction find freedom through Jesus. He also loves to undo the lies of performance based Christianity that many of us have experienced growing up in American church culture. He communicates God’s Word in a relevant way so that people are able to understand the real truth and grace of Jesus Christ.
David grew up in central Pennsylvania and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries from Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. He and Stephanie live in Pine Knot, KY with their two children (Sydney & Logan) and their dog (Riley). David enjoys sports, movies and hanging with his family.
